What are you thankful for?

As the year ends, here are a few things...

My husband
My health
My job
My home
My car
My family
My friends
My church calling
My insurance
My doctors
My co-workers
My talents

Feeling....

Today I am feeling…

Fine...a bit nervous. We are getting a new employee today, and honestly, it kind of worries me. I just get in this groove and I really don't like when New things come along and mess it up. I'm sure she is fine, but still. I am also feeling a bit of anger about it... not towards her personally, but the situation, which I won't get into because I'm just being a baby about things. I'll get over it eventually.
Other than that, I feel the same as usual. Not good, not horrible, just the same.

Photo: New. I have so many great new ideas for a planner I want to make for myself, and one day to finish it before the new year.

Greatest Success

What has been your greatest success this year?

I think not giving up. Not quitting my job because things for too hard for me. Not holing up in my house, staying in bed, and never leaving. I know I haven't always had the best attitude, but I haven't given up, and I think that's quite a success.

Ring In the New

What do you plan on doing to ring in the New Year?

We have never really done much for New Year's Eve. Last year we went to Shaina & Jesse's, but since they moved we are on our own. Chances are we will just sit around, maybe watch a movie, eat junk food. The usual. We are pretty boring for sure.

Photo: Just bought this for my art and Spider-Man living nephew Aidan. I'm so excited about it. I hope he loves it.

Eating

How much did you eat today?

Probably not as much as I should. I get too busy and don't have time. I had breakfast, half a clementine, breakfast shake, egg salad sandwich and a leftover Cafe Rio taco. Plus desserts. The most important stuff. It seems like a lot...dang food.

Best Christmas Gift

What was your favorite Christmas gift? Who gave it to you?

I got a lot of great things. A new computer, a new outfit, some things to help me around the house. I have to admit though that my favorite gift was the cute little bright orange owl ornament. I love the little things Greg gets me.

Photo: Cozy. I am quite cozy here in bed, and I REALLY don't want to work tomorrow.

Holiday Traditions

What is your favorite Christmas tradition? Did you do it this year?

We started this tradition the first year we were married, but we usually buy a new xbox game to play on Christmas Eve then stay up as late as we can playing. This year we played Halo4, and made it to midnight. We are awesome.

Then we have a big yummy dinner with just the two of us. Delicious. I love Christmas.

Happy Holidays

What makes you happiest about the holidays?

I love the lights, the sound, and the joy and the holidays. I love sitting in the dark with just the Christmas lights on. I love most Christmas music and I'm sad it's only played (or viewed as being acceptable) for a month. I wish it was acceptable all year long. I also love giving and, yes receiving. Its just a beautiful time of year.

Three Things

List three things you enjoyed doing this week.

Davies family Christmas party. Its been years since I last went to one, and it was great seeing aunts and uncles, cousins, and other family members. Even if half of them didn't recognize me. It was great seeing them.

Coloring with Aidan and making gingerbread houses with the family.

Working all day with only two other people. Oh wait, that wasn't quite so fun.

The Sounds

List the sounds you are hearing right now.

Since I'm in Cokeville with my family I've been hearing...

Shari yelling at the kids
Lilli and one of the boys crying
Macey and Sid running around trying to find people to play with
Kenz or Kennan playing the piano

...it's good to be home

Positive...

Were you a positive or negative person today?

I'm pretty sure I've been more positive than negative lately. So I'd have to say positive. Despite having to work which is always a bummer, it was only three hours, then I got to go to Provo and hang out with family. It was great.

Five Things That Matter Most

What are the five things that matter most to you in your life today?

1. My relationship with my husband. He has been my strength through our trials this past year, and I couldn't have done it without him. He is my best friend.

2. The Gospel. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm grateful for the knowledge I have that I have a loving Savior who sacrificed his life for me.

3. My health. I have had a rough year and a half health wise, but I've learned that it could be a lot worse. I'm still able to do quite a bit alone, and that's important to me.

4. Pictures, journals, anything that helps preserve memories. I love that I have a smart phone that I can just snap a picture and go. I also love reading blogs and trying to come up with ideas to keep memories of my own.

5. Sleep. Sleep is a deal breaker when it comes to how I'm going to feel in the morning and through the day. I need my sleep, and I need good sleep. Otherwise I can be a bit cranky.

Photo: Gift for the hubs. Took forever to wrap these ones. I'm beat. I may just have to color the packaging on the next ones I'm waiting for.

Last Place Online

What is the last place you visited online?

I don't know for sure but it was most likely Facebook or Instagram. I don't visit them because I'm obsessed, I visit them because I'm bored. Okay, I may be obsessed with IG, but that's because I like pictures, and there is no drama. I should just delete Facebook. But I can't. Its sad.

3 Things Tomorrow

What are three things you need to do tomorrow?

1. I need to write up some decisionings on some loans that I really don't want to do. Yes, I get/have to do loans now. No longer am I just a teller, but I got all sorts of responsibilities that have made my job super fun.

2. Make treats for my co-workers. Muddy buddies. They're the easiest.

3. Eat, sleep, be merry.

Photo: Family. We are family... even if Greg doesn't ever let me take a normal pic.

A Pet For Bre

If you can have any animal for a pet, what kind of pet would you choose?

I want a little kitty, or a puppy. Something soft, little, and fluffy that will cuddle with me and play with me, and not make a mess ever! Is that too much to ask?

Photo: Green. The only good kind of yogurt is the green kind.

Headlines

What was the biggest headline in the news today and what are your thoughts?

Honestly, I didn't watch or read the news much today at all. On ESPN they talked about the Cowboys and whether to blame Tony Romo or not. I don't. I blame Jason Garret. I have for the past 3 years. No one listens to me. Apparently there was also a bus crash in Cache County. Crazy drivers. And then something about polygamy, which I really didn't pay attention to. Crazy world we live in.

Photo: Cool. The amount of time it's taken me to get that far is not cool. Seriously...I know it's been about three months since I touched Photoshop, and now I'm dealing with an entirely new computer and Photoshop than I'm used to. But it's taken forever too get this far, and chances are I'll change it completely. Lol.

Word

What word are you using too much lately?

Crap. Seriously. I say that word way too much. I use the phrase, "What the crap" way too much as well. I use it a lot when I'm frustrated, which is a lot. I need to choose a better word/phrase, because let's face it, crap is an ugly word. (Plus the visual...)

Photo: Ice cream. Brownies and ice cream...I think I'll be regretting this later.

Weird

What was weird about your day?

Oh geeze. All my days lately are a bit strange. Beyond the fact that I feel weird, I just feel like I'm kind of losing it. I totally spaced that I was supposed to go help babysit for a Relief Society service. I never forget. I had it in my calendar. I really never forget things. (Sometimes I do say I do when u really don't) but honestly. At 9:30 I remembered. I suck.

Also weird, the way people act sometimes. I wish I could get inside their heads, but then again, maybe not. Only another week.

Photo: Almost done with book 6 of the Vampire Academy series. Now to get through the 3 Bloodlines books so I can finally read the newest one. Is it weird I have to re-read the entire series before I can read the new ones? These books make me jolly.

Can't Live Without

What's the one thing you can't live without?

Technologically speaking it would have to be my phone. With smart phones you have access to just about everything...internet, phone, text, music, etc. It's sad that we have become so reliant upon technology, but let's face it. Is why it was created...to make things easier.

Non-technologically speaking, I'd have to say music, even though I guess that could kind of new technological. But I love music, whether it's One Direction, or church hymns, or Christmas songs, they each can set a tone to my day. They help me in hard times, in happy times, help me feel the Spirit. I love music and am grateful for it in my life.
