Drinks

When you go out with friends, what kind(s) of drink(s) do you usually order?

Same as last year, I really don't go out with friends. But if I'm forced to ever order a drink, it's usually Dr. Pepper or 7-up/Sprite, though I prefer 7-up over Sprite...in case you wondered.

Photo: #truth I'm glad we can give each other crap about anything. It's going to be a fun rivalry this week.

3 Things That Annoy

What are three things that rub you the wrong way?
{2013} :: {2014}

1) People who complain all the time. Yes, I realize that I was once that way, and if you talk with my co-workers they will tell you I still am (I'm not, I just have to keep up that image...I am the Corporate Whiner!) But when all I see is complaining about every little thing on facebook or wherever. I just don't have a whole lot of sympathy. Sorry. Life isn't that bad, and trust me, could be a heck of a lot worse. Like you could suddenly not be able to care entirely for yourself.....

2) When people are condescending. Example: A member came in the other day and loudly said, "Your ATM is old." Donna replied with, "Our ATM is actually new," to which the gentleman, in his condescending tone says, "It doesn't take deposits." I get annoyed with people like that so I said, and probably not real nicely, "Yes it does!" "Only with an envelope. The ones downtown just take the cash in." He was so condescending, and made it seem like our technology was total crap, even though in reality, it would take about 2 seconds more to put the money in an envelope. #firstworldproblems

3) When you greet someone and they ignore you. (Can you tell I'm SOOOO ready to go back to work tomorrow!) Or they sit and chat on their phone and expect you to read their mind and know what they're wanting. Be polite. If someone says hi, how are you? Just say Hey back. Please! Also, don't answer your phone while you're being helped.

Website Faves

My Favorite Website Is...
{2013} :: {2014}

I'm quite obsessed with Etsy and Pinterest lately. I stay up way too late looking for cool things on both sites. It's terrible, because then I can't sleep because I'm thinking of all the awesome stuff that I could be making or doing.

My other favorite is, of course, Instagram. If you don't follow me, be grateful. I post some pretty lame things!

Photo: Wore one of my new @livandhope shirts. It got me and my co-worker talking all about adoption and having kids and all that fun stuff. Knowing where funds from this shirt is going makes me LOVE it all that much more. Also, why do I suck so bad at taking mirror selfies? I mean I get that my hands are lame, but I just can't seem to do it! #adoption #newclothes #isuckatselfies

What are your goals for this year?
{2013} :: {2014}

  • Organize my life (may need to come before simplify)
  • Listen to promptings (MUST IMPROVE)
  • Work on my 28 by 29 goals
  • Be happy 99% of the time (and just SLIGHTY unhappy that other 1%)
  • Try new things
  • Take more meaningful pictures
  • Blog more
  • Journal more
  • Put my ideas on paper so I can do 1 & 2
  • Buy a house
  • Adopt a kitten
Photo: #samsclub. .. go in for a $20 item, come out spending $100.
"Do you want this $11maple  syrup?"
"Do we need it?"
Puts in cart.
"I don't know why you ask me, if you want it you'll get it anyway."
"Not if you said, No Greg, I will kill you if you get that."
Pause....
"No, you'd still get it."
Walk past a bag of coconut flour.
"Do you want that?"
"No"
"See, that's all you had to say."

Fave 2014 Memory

What is your favorite memory from last year?
{2013} :: {2014}

I can't just choose one, so here are the top highlights:

One Direction concert!!!
Speaking at Homecoming
10 Year Class Reunion
Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma
Birth of 2 nieces: Breklin & Myka
2 nieces baptized: Lilli & Nori

If I had to choose ONE, I'd have to say the 1D concert AND the  Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma 5K. So much love and support from family and friends.

I am blessed!

Money in My Bank

What is your current bank balance?
{2013}

Somewhere between $1,000 and $100,000. It's really not close to the latter, however I feel we are doing okay for now. We are able to put more and more in our savings each month, which is really nice. Now if we didn't have a $4000 deductible on our insurance. I opened a separate account for health purposes, since we can only contribute so much to our HSA. Bummer deal really. Just want to have everything paid off so we can work on getting new debts! ;) (KIDDING. If I've learned one thing from doing loans, it's that you should NEVER buy a $50,000 vehicle, when you're making significantly less than that.) Of course, I'd never buy a $50K vehicle anyway, but you get my  point!

One Word About Me Today

If others described how you acted today in one word out would be...
{2013}

Awesome! Just kidding. I really don't know how to answer this question. Maybe tired, since I'm always tired, or cranky because I had a headache? I don't know. I was at church, so who knows what people were thinking.

Photo: We're not going to have kids until we're 50, and then we're going to adopt a set of creepy adult twins from Romania. #or45
