Grocery List

What is on your grocery list?

I hate grocery shopping. It's one of my least favorite things in the world. We get basically the same thing week after week. Milk, bananas, bread, ice cream, yogurt, and occasionally a few other things.Thinking up a grocery list means thinking about what I want for dinner, which I really dislike doing. So, needless to say, I don't like this question!

Photo: Was supposed to spend about an hour in there, but due to #sclerodermaprobs my mouth doesn't fit over the mouth piece. We'll see what my rheumy wants to do now. Big shout out to that wonderful lady in the chair. She was so sweet and awesome as I had a bit of a breakdown. #frustrated #sickofbeingsick #scleroderma #pulmonaryfunctiontest #atleastihavetherestofthedayoff #mydailylife

Photo 2: So what do you do when you take work off for a PFT and you can't do it so you're sent home early? You go to a movie with your hot husband. #divergent #daydate #lovemyhubby #mydailylife

Photo 3: Then you come out of the movie to see it snowing pretty good and it's freezing and you have no gloves....#daydate #randomutahweather #mydailylife

Photo 3: Then you top off the #daydate with a trip to Wal-Mart for baby food (nutritious dinner maybe, but how can that be good?) And then Subway for dinner. My hubby made my not-so-good day better. #daydate #lovemyhubby #letsseeificangainweight #tomorrowisanewday #mydailylife

Read Your Mind

If you could have read one person’s mind today, who would you choose?

My doctor's. I'm always curios what runs through his mind when I visit. What are his thoughts on the disease? Does he think I'm just being a baby? How much does he really know?

But at the same time, it's a good thing I can't read minds. Who would want to be able to do that? Information overload for sure.

Photo: Getting blood drawn. Had to poke both arms to get enough. It was a good appointment with my rheumy. See him again in 3 months.

Last Text

The last text message I received...

Was from: Greg
and said: For long pentance sessions.

Don't ask.

Photo: Month of Gratitude Day 21. Grateful for doctors (in all their varieties) and modern day medicines. I don't understand how anyone could go to school for a hundred years just to deal with sick people, but I'm sure grateful there are people out there who do. Grateful they are willing to become knowledgeable in different areas of medicine so they can help me when my body decides to shut down. Grateful they will answer my stupid questions and put up with people who have issues that aren't easy fixes. Grateful they are there to try and help. And when I said Drs in all their varieties, I also meant a 'witch doctor' I know who also had helped me. I look forward to seeing her again when the time is right. Grateful for your knowledge and personal insight. It's nice to know I have options, and for that I am also grateful. and p.s. some of those bottles are duplicates. I don't really have a ton of meds.

Apologies

What was the last thing you apologized for? Did you mean it?

I think I apologized to the nurse when she asked me to roll into my side. It takes a bit of time and effort to do that simple thing, but I did mean it.

To the Doctor I Go

The last doctor's appointment you made was because...
That's actually pretty ironic since the last doctor appointment I had was today. It was made because my body hates me. In short I have been in pain for the past 1.5 years. Someday I will tell the whole story, but for now I'll leave it at that. I'm just beyond relieved to have finally been able to go see a doctor. The doctor I went to was fabulous. And its through good people that I was able to see him, and see him when I did. I'm grateful for good people. It was kind of funny because the nurse and doctor kept apologizing that it took forever to finally see me (about an hour and a half). Little do they know I would have been happy waiting three hours to get in. Anyway. Like I said, I'll tell the whole story once I know more.
Photo: Here Forever
I've been waiting to get here forever, and couldn't be more excited and ready.
