Celebrate Awesome

If there were a holiday in your honor, what would it celebrate?
{2013} :: {2014}

It would celebrate awesomeness everywhere! And every awesome person would get a free hot fudge sundae and french fries from McDonald's. I should really talk to them about that...

Photo: Found this app to help me get on track to meet my goal of finishing the #bookofmormon before my 29 (so old!) Birthday. I love being able to know where im at and this works perfectly. Its called Gospel Study Challenge if you're interested. #iamlds #mormon

A Holiday

If there were a holiday in your honor, what would it celebrate?

The real question is, why is there not one already? I mean come on now. I proposed the idea last year, why had no one made it happen? And that, my friends, is the real question.

Photo: The outsideness. It was such a beautiful day. Almost made me forget it is still February.

Ring In the New

What do you plan on doing to ring in the New Year?

We have never really done much for New Year's Eve. Last year we went to Shaina & Jesse's, but since they moved we are on our own. Chances are we will just sit around, maybe watch a movie, eat junk food. The usual. We are pretty boring for sure.

Photo: Just bought this for my art and Spider-Man living nephew Aidan. I'm so excited about it. I hope he loves it.

Best Christmas Gift

What was your favorite Christmas gift? Who gave it to you?

I got a lot of great things. A new computer, a new outfit, some things to help me around the house. I have to admit though that my favorite gift was the cute little bright orange owl ornament. I love the little things Greg gets me.

Photo: Cozy. I am quite cozy here in bed, and I REALLY don't want to work tomorrow.

Holiday Traditions

What is your favorite Christmas tradition? Did you do it this year?

We started this tradition the first year we were married, but we usually buy a new xbox game to play on Christmas Eve then stay up as late as we can playing. This year we played Halo4, and made it to midnight. We are awesome.

Then we have a big yummy dinner with just the two of us. Delicious. I love Christmas.

Happy Holidays

What makes you happiest about the holidays?

I love the lights, the sound, and the joy and the holidays. I love sitting in the dark with just the Christmas lights on. I love most Christmas music and I'm sad it's only played (or viewed as being acceptable) for a month. I wish it was acceptable all year long. I also love giving and, yes receiving. Its just a beautiful time of year.

The Sounds

List the sounds you are hearing right now.

Since I'm in Cokeville with my family I've been hearing...

Shari yelling at the kids
Lilli and one of the boys crying
Macey and Sid running around trying to find people to play with
Kenz or Kennan playing the piano

...it's good to be home

Christmas Season

What are you most looking forward to this Christmas season?

I love everything about Christmas season. The lights, the snow, the music, the giving, everything except the shopping and madness that sometimes exists. I'm looking forward to getting our Christmas tree up too. I love sitting in the dark with the Christmas lights on. Its my favorite.

5 Words/Phrases

List five words/phrases that make you giggle.

It's so weird when I get asked this, because I know we have a million things we say, but when put on the spot, I can't think. But one that pops into mind is a Jimmy Fallon parody of 'What Makes You Beautiful'. You'll have to listen to it to get the full effect. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWQoiOBnqWA

Fave Holiday Recipe

What is your favorite holiday recipe to cook?

I think I said crab dip last year, and I think I'm sticking with it. Or pecan pie. Yummy. I'm excited for Thanksgiving!

Photo: Month of Gratitude Day 23. Grateful for technology. I'm grateful for cell phones, iPads, kindles, tv, internet, etc. Technology is amazing and there are all many things you can do with it... including watching a seven hour broadcast of 1D Day on YouTube. (Okay, I didn't watch all 7 hours, but quite a bit of it). Its amazing that you can watch people hundreds of miles away over the internet. (That doesn't sound creepy). Grateful for the many forms of communication technology provides as well.

What I Did Today

What did you do today?

I legitimately had the day off. For reals. Thank you Columbus Day. So what did I do? I slept in, then watched the SOAP Network. I literally did nothing and it was awesome. I wish everyday were a holiday.

Photo: Favorite Space... well once upon a time it was the spot next to Greg on the futon, until I could no longer get up from it. So sad.

Questioning?

What are you questioning?

Why do I have to go to work tomorrow? We had the day off today and it was awesome. Despite forgetting to turn off my alarm and having it go off at 7:10, I got to go back to sleep for another almost two hours. So great. Now I'm wondering why I can't do that again tomorrow. Something about being a responsible adult I suppose.

Photo: My name begins with...
(Can you see it?)

I cheated a bit. But we also went to the movies today. Not the best movie ever, but maybe if I hadn't read the books it would be better.

Holiday...

If there were a holiday in your honor, what would it celebrate?

Well, it would be EVERY Thursday (because Thursdays suck, and they need to be livened up), and it would just celebrate my awesomeness. Pure and simple. It also means that everyone gets the day off, as though Thursdays didn't exist. Okay, that's unrealistic. It just means that I get the day off to celebrate how awesome I am.
